1. RECENT UPDATE DATES

2. GENERAL INFORMATION
Massive know how from delphi-talk@bridge.net as a paradox database with
a reader application.
I collected the best of questions and answers of delphi-talk mailinglist.
You can download dayly updates as text file from my homepage and from some
other delphi pages in www, too. The text files are named dtxxxx.txt/zip
whereby xxxx stands for month (first xx) and year (last xx).
Now these text files are avalaible as a paradox table. This package includes
these database, a simple reader and a paradox 5.0 for windows form.
For private programmers:
You can use all files as freeware. Feel free to copy, distribute and use this
archive like hell!
For commercial programmers:
I would be appreciate if you will send me $20 for all my troubles and to
keeping me on maintaining this archive.
I can not give a warranty, that the reader application works perfectly and
also, that all answers are correct in the archive.
If you redistribute this archive, please do not modify files in it!

3. INSTALLATION
First you have to install the Borland Database Engine Version 2.0 or higher.
You need all files for handling Paradox tables and local SQL. You can download
the newest version of BDE redistributables from my homepage.
You do not need to create a BDE alias. The alias will be created at runtime.
The database files QA.* must be in the same directory like the QAREADER.EXE!

4. HARDWARE AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS:
- 80386 IBM compatible
- 4 MB of RAM (Minimum)
- 6 MB of Diskspace (Minimum)
- VGA or better
- MS-Windows 3.1 / 3.11 or Windows 95 (tested on these platforms)

5. VERSION HISTORY:
1.0:
- Shows data from qa.db in a grid.
- Copy to clipboard.
- Select categories.
1.5:
- Read only combobox for selecting categories.
- New main menu.
- Set some basic options.
- Save / load options to / from an .INI file.
- Table search, looks for key words in table.
- Memo search, looks for words in answer memo field.
1.5a:
- Bugfixes in category combobox, main menu and QAREADER.INI file handling.
1.6:
- Bugfixes by selecting a category without any contents.
- Added a bugfixed record counter with gauge bar.
- Renamed field DelphiRelease to Ver.
- Added a Table information dialog.
Please note: QAREADER.EXE ver 1.6 doesn't work with databases, which were
distributed with an earlier version (ver 1.5a and below). Please make sure to
replace all old files with new ones from this archive.
1.6a:
- Fixed font size bug, when using big fonts in windows.
